Mike is the current Head of SRE and CICD at Transamerica, responsible for accelerating the business through availability and performance tuning of cloud applications and infrastructure. Mike started his career at UBS Zurich, writing the first currency program trading system for the Toronto Stock Exchange. He worked on Wall Street for Morgan Stanley, performance tuning trading systems and infrastructure and shifting core data systems to the cloud. Mike is an avid off-road racer, cyclist and pilot who lives in Denver, Colorado.

If Journey2Cloud was like a fairy tale! We wouldn’t have much to talk about… But no, transforming large scale organisations to cloud infrastructure is fraught with a number of technical and organisational challenges.

Transamerica and many other organisations managing the transition towards the cloud have had to overcome a number of significant and costly hurdles. Join this session for a candid and transparent view of how large scale cloud migrations can impact organisations, initially with challenges but longer term with a number of expected and also unforeseen benefits.

We will also be deep diving into the benefits of cloud adoption and what aspects remaining that are potentially slowing down and holding back cloud adoption more wide spread in the industry. We warmly invite you for this interactive session on cloud technologies and their adoption.

When will the 2024 program be released?

Our board members are currently reviewing speaker submissions to decide which talks to bring to the Cloud Leadership Day stage.

The first round of speakers will be announced at the end of February, so stay tuned!

Cloud Leadership Day will be on June 19, 2024, from 7am to 5.30pm CEST, followed by informal drinks and networking.
