Foundation models have revolutionized machine learning, yet using them is still a challenge.
In this talk I will give an overview over such models, and how to use them, both for mixed data in the context of AutoML and through fine-tuning and prompting, as is commonly done in Large Language Models. In particular, AutoGluon allows users to integrate tabular data with representations for different data types, including text and images.
I will discuss how this can be accomplished efficiently, taking advantage of the latest models available on public repositories. When it comes to pure language models, I will cover how to adapt them efficiently, e.g. by automatic prompt and example generation, thus alleviating the need for manual generation, and by parsimonious parameterization, thus reducing the computational cost significantly.

Cloud Leadership Day brings together over 800 leaders and experts from across industries to share their experience and insights on the latest trends, best practices, and strategies related to cloud transformation.
The program is selected by an independent board of customer representatives and delivered by cloud practitioners and experts. Content is selected to provide maximum benefit to participants through relevant topics, innovative insights, and clear, actionable takeaways.
Cloud Leadership Day will be on June 21, 2023, from 7am to 5.30pm CEST, followed by informal drinks and networking.
This in-person conference will be held at:
Arena Cinema Zurich
Data & AI are important topics in the cloud area too, which is why this conference will take place alongside Data & AI Leadership Day. Ticket holders will have access to both conferences.
